The opinions of children and adolescents

The 5^th edition of the creative contest (2024/25), organised by UNICEF Luxembourg and the Service des Droits de l’enfants, MENJE, is open to entire classes, groups of 2 to 5 young people and those wishing to enter individually:  

• Primary schools: pupils in cycles 3 and 4 * 
• Maisons Relais: children in cycles 3 and 4 only 

* as well as equivalent classes from the Centre de compétences, European schools, and national and international private schools. 

The theme for 2025/2026: Living well together with all our differences! 

The contest offers children the opportunity to speak up and actively participate by expressing in a creative and artistic way, what a daily life could look like where everyone can take part: women, men and non-binary individuals, people with or without disabilities, young and old, regardless of skin colour and financial situation.

In line with this year’s theme, we decided not to limit the format, so that everyone can participate in the way that suits them best. All forms of expression are accepted: texts, photos, films, artworks, theater plays or musical pieces, posters, and digital creations. There are no limits to creativity! 

For drawings, paintings, posters, collages, and photo montages: 

• All techniques are allowed 
• Format: DIN A3 for all works, whether digital or analog 

For films/videos (including theater plays, songs or other contributions): 

• Maximum duration: 5 minutes & maximum file size: 500 MB / ½ GB 
• Camera settings: 1080p HD (30 frames per second) 

For texts or poems: 

• Maximum of 2 DIN A4 pages, handwritten or typed 
• If typed: minimum font size 12, line spacing 1.5 

Important: Images or videos generated by artificial intelligence (AI) will not be accepted! 

Entries can be submitted between October 1 and November 20.
