One of the worst humanitarian crises of our time
The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is facing a severe humanitarian catastrophe. Armed conflicts have been raging for years, forcing hundreds of thousands of families to flee their villages. Children suffer from hunger, disease, and violence.
More than 6,5 million people, including 2,6 million children, are currently displaced in the region. Many families have had to flee multiple times, often under life-threatening conditions. Parents are desperate, unable to provide safety for their children. Clean water, food, and medical care are scarce. Without help, these children have no future.

Children are paying the highest price
Why do children in the DRC urgently need help?
The situation is critical:
Displacement & insecurity: Families are forced to flee repeatedly, often under dangerous conditions. Many children are alone and highly vulnerable.
Hunger & malnutrition: Nearly 2 million children are acutely malnourished. Without emergency therapeutic food, their survival is at risk.
Health system collapse: Hospitals and health centres have been looted or destroyed. Thousands of injured and severely ill children remain untreated.
No access to education: More than a million children cannot attend school because their schools have been destroyed or they are constantly on the run.
Lack of clean water: The water shortage leads to deadly diseases like cholera, which spreads rapidly.
