From Lebanon to Iran, and in several other countries across the Middle East, the escalation of violence is putting the lives and the future of millions of children at risk.
Children are exposed to immediate dangers: attacks, forced displacement and trauma. Many are losing their homes, their schools or relatives. Entire families are fleeing without knowing where they will find safetyor when the violence will end.

Children are paying the price of the conflict
The Middle East is one of the regions of the world where the largest number of children live in contexts affected by conflict.
Around 200 million children
live in the region
Nearly 110 million children
live in countries already affected by conflict
Around 77 million children
live in areas affected by the current escalation
Nearly 46 million children in the region currently need humanitarian assistance, and this number continues to rise as the violence intensifies.

Support our emergency aid
UNICEF is acting for children in the Middle East
For decades, we have been present in many countries across the Middle East and have been working with local partners to support children.
Our teams provide in particular:
- medical care for injured children
- support to hospitals and health services
- access to safe drinking water
- treatment for malnutrition
- psychosocial support for traumatised children
- protection for unaccompanied children or children separated from their families
In collaboration with United Nations agencies and humanitarian organisations, we continuously assess the situation and stand ready to scale up assistance for children and families across the region.
Every child has the right to protection and safety, even in times of conflict. With your support, we can provide life-saving assistance to children and their families.
In a conflict of this magnitude, every euro counts. Donate now!
